In February 2005, she became a Staff Attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP. She worked as a Staff Attorney at Skadden from February 2005 until July 2007. It was at Skadden that she became exposed to the insurance regulatory world and mergers and acquisitions. In July 2007, she became in-house counsel to Starr International USA, Inc., one of her clients at Skadden Arps. She was in-house counsel to Starr from July 2007 until September 2010. From September 2011 until March 2013, she was a compliance manager for Parsons Brinkerhoff, Inc. From April 2013 until she opened her own practice in March 2015, she was an associate at Goldberg Segalla, LLP.
In 2015, she shifted her focus to helping individuals with their estate planning, real estate matters, and issues relating to guardianship proceedings. Currently her practice focuses on:
Guardianships – She represents individuals in Article 81 and 17A Guardianship proceedings, which deal with the appointments of guardians to manage the affairs of minors or incapacitated adults — including both financial and medical decisions;
Elder Law – She works with elders so that they can accomplish their legal, financial and healthcare goals. It is important to properly plan in advance for illnesses, disabilities or unforeseen accidents. Advance planning can ensure that elders receive the care they deserve without depleting their financial resources. I also assist families who believe someone they love has been subjected to elder abuse.
Estate Planning – She works with individuals and families to devise valid estate plans to protect their assets and loved ones. A personalized estate plan may include including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives to give clients peace of mind that they have done everything to protect those they love –alleviating some of the stress in an already emotional situation.
Probate and Estate Administration – Whether an individual dies with or without a will, she can represent families to guide them through the complex Surrogate Court procedures for administering estate assets.
Real Estate – She handles both residential and commercial real estate transactions. She handles all aspects of the real estate transaction from contract negotiation and drafting, to mortgage referrals and review of mortgage documents, to title search reviews and resolving all title issues to ensure clear title.
